Every year, around North Florida, officers are charged with solving murders. The motives for those cases can vary. The victims range from neighbors to students, young and old.

Often these cases are solved through hard work, witnesses, forensic evidence or even a lucky break. Even with those elements in place, however, some remain unsolved. Some law enforcement agencies call these cold cases. But officers who have worked on these investigations and the families of those who died explain they are never truly closed. Officers keep looking for answers. Relatives keep hoping for them.

This database lists some of the unsolved homicide cases in and around the Alachua County area and contact information for law enforcement agencies who are investigating these cases.
