Allen scored 23 points for the Gators against Tennessee on Saturday and 14 against Ole Miss last week, helping the UF stay undefeated in conference play. He had efficient numbers across the board this week, averaging 18.5 points, 5 rebounds and three steals.
In the second half against Tennessee, Allen shot 1.000 from the field, making all five field goal attempts and all four three-point attempts, and completed two-of-three free throws, scoring 16 of his 23 points for the game just after halftime. He has shot 51 percent from the floor and 53 percent from the arc over his last seven games.
It'sAllen's first career Player of the Week recognition and second honor from the SEC after earning Freshman of the Week once last season.
