Roundup: No. 5 UF volleyball back home to play Wildcats

Following a fifth road swing in the last six weeks of play, the new No. 5 Gators return home to the Lemerand Athletic Center for their SEC home opener against the Kentucky Wildcats at 8 p.m. Wednesday for what promises to be an exciting atmosphere.
Florida (12-1, 2-0 SEC) is riding the second-longest win streak in the nation into the mid-week match against UK (9-4, 2-0 SEC). The Gators have won 12 straight after falling 3-1 to defending national champion Nebraska in their season opener. The Huskers sit just ahead of the Gators with a 27-match win streak going.
Gator fans are encouraged to wear Orange. The match will be carried live on the SEC Network and on AM-850 and 95.3-FM.

Orlando - The Florida women's golf team started the day at eight-under Tuesday, but finished the Annika Intercollegiate at 16-under and in fifth place.
Senior Karolina Vlckova carded eight birdies in her final round to record a 66, tieing the record for the second-lowest round in program history. Last season, Vlckova set the record for the lowest round when she fired a 65 in the NCAA Regional. She finished the tournament in a tie for 21st place at -3 (213).
Maria Torres used a bogey-free round and three birdies to move up six spots, tied for sixth place with an overall score of -8 (208).
Southern California took home the title at the Annika Intercollegiate by shooting a -26 (840). Arkansas' Maria Fassi was the individual winner at -11 (205).
