Q: What's the excitement level on and around this team?

A: Definitely excited to come back and play again after the season we had last year, excited to get a victory because we haven't had a victory in a while around here on the road or here. The whole campus is excited, coaches excited, players excited, so we're definitely ready to showcase our talent.

Q: More so than usual?

A: I would say so because of the disappointment, the season we had last year. But we still have to stay focused, know our task at hand because we have to execute in the game. We are excited, but it's controlled emotions.

Q: Do you remember your last win?

A: Arkansas in like October or something, too long.

Q: What's the potential of this defense?

A: We're playing together as a defense more than I've ever probably witnessed since I've been here. We've been playing together, there's no pointing fingers. We all came together for a common goal to be the best defense. Now, it's time for us to display it and actually do that. We've done the things necessary to do it, so now we've just got to go out and do it.

Q: Does this team have a chip on its shoulder?

A: I'd say yeah and I'd say you're supposed to have a chip on your shoulder no matter when you play the game, especially on defense. If you don't play with emotion on defense, then you're just playing like a zombie. You can't be a successful defense doing that.
