Three Florida players were suspended for tonight's season opener against Idaho, the school announced on its website Saturday.

Nose tackles Jay-nard Bostwick and Darious Cummings were suspended for a violation of team rules, and receiver Demarcus Robinson is suspended because of a university sanction.

"I support the university sanction," UF coach Will Muschamp told the school website. "We have rules here that we have to follow — team, athletic department and university rules — and when you don’t follow them there are consequences.

"I expect all three players to return next week."
