21 … Number of fumbles for the Gators last season.

One thing Will Muschamp harped on when he took over at Florida was winning the turnover margin. In his first season, it didn't happen, but when Florida won 11 games in 2012, the Gators capitalized on opponents' turnovers and limited their own.

In 2013, they were back to losing the battle. Their turnover margin was minus-3, a testament to how few turnovers they forced (17) as much as anything.

But there were some slippery hands on the team. The Gators dropped the ball 21 times in 12 games last year, losing 11.

It started in the opening game when Jeff Driskel was sacked and fumbled the ball away to Toledo. Then there was the disaster in Miami when Florida lost three fumbles.

But fumbles weren't always a factor in Florida's eight losses. In games against LSU, Georgia, South Carolina and Georgia Southern, the Gators didn't lose a fumble and still found a way to lose. In fact, Georgia Southern lost a pair of fumbles during its momentous win.

Florida ended the season with three fumbles, losing two, against FSU.
