Kaoru Ishibashi, better known by his pseudonym, Kishi Bashi, is a talented man. His new album, “Lighght,” is reminiscent of acts like ELO and Yes, with tunes full of uplifting violin trills, catchy rhythms and impressive vocals. Though his album is new, Mr. Bashi certainly isn’t. He’s performed with artists like Regina Spektor and the group Of Montreal, from Athens, Georgia, and has won the accolades of such critics as Bob Boilen of NPR. Bashi’s song “Bright Whites” was even in a major Microsoft ad campaign a few years back. Let’s just say, this guy has a real impressive résumé.

Go check him out Sunday at High Dive, where he’ll perform along with Tall Tall Trees and Jordan Burchel, starting at 8 p.m.
