Ushers celebration

Mount Carmel Baptist Church will host its Ushers Celebration.

The service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church at 2505 NE 8th Ave.

School supplies

Lazarus Restoration Ministries Inc. will conduct a Back to School Clothes and Supply Drive to support homeless children.

Supplies will be collected from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays at Lazarus at 3019 NE 20th Way, Suite A. The deadline for donations is Monday.

Needed are monetary donations, backpacks, calculators, clothing in good condition, crayons, folders, glue, lunch boxes, notebooks, paper and pencils.

Revival

Unspeakable Joy Outreach Deliverance Ministries Inc. will host a revival.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday at the church at 1705 NE 5th Ave.

Church conference

First Missionary Baptist Church will host its annual Church Conference 2014.

It will be held Aug. 13-15 at the church at 1515 SE 15th St. The theme will be "Building the House Through: The Word, Worship and Work."

Each night, the format will be: 5-6:15 p.m., dinner; 6:20-7:05 p.m., class sessions; 7:15-8:15 p.m., praise and worship and spoken word.

The theme for each night will be: Aug. 13, "Building the House with Worship;" Aug. 14, "Building the House with Work," and Aug. 15, "Building the House with Word."

Fellowship service

Pilgrim Rest Church of God in Unity will host two days of Fellowship Support Services.

Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the church at 1714 NE 8th Ave.

The services will feature:

* Saturday: Speaker, Pastor Winter Brown of Overcomers Through Christ Ministries Inc.; praise teams from Overcomers and Gainesville Church of God by Faith and soloist Leonard Marshall of Gainesville.

* Sunday: Speaker, Dr. D.R. Williams of Williams Temple Church of God in Christ; praise team from Williams Temple and Voices of Pilgrim Rest Church of God in Unity.

Revival

The Rev. Keith L. Smith, pastor of Emanuel Baptist Church, and Elder Alvin Ford, pastor of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church, will continue its joint revival.

It will be held at 7 p.m. through Friday at Emanuel at 1203 NE 8th Ave. Pastor Kevin Thorpe of Faith Church will lead the revival.

VBS

Dayspring Baptist Church will continue its Vacation Bible School.

Classes will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. through Friday at the church at 1945 NE 8th Ave. The theme will be "Jesus: The Connection."

The Jerusalem Baptist Association will host its 93rd annual session of the Help & Aid Auxiliary Convention.

It will be held Aug. 13-15 at the association at 8810 NE Waldo Road in Fairbanks. It will feature:

* Aug. 13: 6 p.m., Bible exposition led by Deacon Sammy Oaks of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville and Bible theme focus, which will be "Prayer Changes Things," and 7 p.m., worship service led by Old Jerusalem Baptist Church in the Monteocha community, with the Rev. Tommy Brantley.

* Aug. 14: 6 p.m., Bible exposition led by Deacon Sammy Oaks of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gainesville; 7-7:15 p.m., Memorial Tribute led by Dorothy Richardson, president of the Help & Aid Auxiliary, and 7:15 p.m., evening worship led by the Rev. Barry Washington of Shiloh Baptist Church in Alachua.

* Aug. 15: 7 p.m., annual president's address delivered by Richardson.
