Former Eastside High School linebacker/defensive back Quintarvis King, a 2014 graduate, signed a scholarship last Thursday to play strong safety at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

King, 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds, said he chose Campbellsville over Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina; Edward Waters College in Jacksonville; Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa; and Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.

Campbellsville plays in the Mid-South Conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or NAIA.

King used the services of Mike Powell and Associates: Athletic, Academic and Scholarship Consulting LLC to help him secure the scholarship. He will report to school on Aug. 7.
