36 … Points scored by Trey Burton against Kentucky in 2010.
Kentucky came to The Swamp with an unbeaten record in 2010 at 3-0 to face the ninth-ranked Gators when the freshman put on a show.
Burton only rushed five times in the game … and he scored all five times. Playing a hybrid position of part-fullback and part-receiver, Burton only rushed for 40 yards and caught five passes for 37 yards.
But to say he was productive would be an understatement.
He scored twice in the first quarter on an 11-yard run and an 11-yard reception from Johnny Brantley, the only receiving score of the season for Burton.
In the third quarter, Burton scored on a 10-yard run and a 9-yard run.
In the fourth quarter, he scored on runs of three and seven yards.
And he also threw a 42-yard completion in the game as Florida won 48-14.
It was a special game for Burton, but it was hardly a sign of things to come as Florida’s offense changed once Urban Meyer left. He only scored 20 total touchdowns in his career.
