Banks, Tomlinson receive scholar honors

NORMAN, Okla. — Rising seniors Eric Banks and J.D. Tomlinson (Oak Hall) were named NCAA Division I Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

During the 2013-14 season, Banks averaged 73.50 strokes through 30 overall rounds of play, assisted by a successful spring when he led the team with a 72.17 average.

Tomlinson, who represented the Gators at the NCAA East Regional, led Florida by averaging 72.55 strokes through 36 rounds, completing 14 of those rounds at or under par.
