38 … Points scored by UF in Urban Meyer's first SEC title game.

Florida came into the 2006 SEC Championship Game with a chance to play for the national title. But the Gators had to beat a talented Arkansas team in Atlanta.

The Gators led 17-7 at the half, but two Arkansas scores in the third quarter put the title hopes in jeopardy.

Late in the third quarter, Meyer called for a fake punt that flipped field position. The next punt was fumbled by Arkansas and Wondy Pierre-Louis recovered it in the end zone to put UF up 24-21.

Percy Harvin took a handoff from Chris Leak and sprinted 67 yards for another score, but Arkansas scored on a double pass with 12:29 to play to cut the lead to 31-28.

Florida then drove to the clinching score with 9:04 to play in the game. It came on a reverse pass from wide receiver Andre Caldwell to tight end Tate Casey.

The Gators held on to win their seventh SEc title and went on to beat Ohio State in the national title game.
