The plane carrying Florida coach Will Muschamp and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier was diverted to Philadelphia on the return flight Tuesday from a trip to ESPN's studios in Bristol, Conn., but according to Spurrier “it was no big deal.”

The Florida charter plane picked Spurrier up in Columbia, S.C., but on the return trip there was a mechanical issue. After the stop in Philadelphia, the group took a separate charter flight, dropping Spurrier off in Columbia before coming home to Gainesville.

“It was a little mechanical problem.” Spurrier said. “We were never in any trouble. The pilots did a super job. They were just being cautious.”
