Two recruits have decommitted from Florida this week.
The latest was Jacksonville First Coast wide receiver Tristan Payton, who announced his decision Monday on his Twitter account.
Three-star safety Deontai Williams, another Jacksonville prospect from Trinity Christian, flipped to Georgia on Saturday.
Payton was an unrated and relatively unknown recruit when he pledged to UF in February. But he has since received a three-star rating from most sites and gained offers from Miami, Ohio State and Southern Cal.
The Gators could bounce back in recruiting over the next 11 days. They are a finalist for three prospects scheduled to decide soon — offensive lineman George Brown (Friday), running back Ray-Ray McCloud III (July 28) and linebacker Adonis Thomas (Aug. 1).
Florida now has eight members in its 2015 class. Verbal commitments are not binding until prospects sign their national letters of intent.
