HOOVER, Ala. — Apparently not everyone is convinced that a healthy Florida will have a big turnaround season in 2014.

The Gators have been picked to finish third in the Eastern Division by members of the media who cover the SEC, and only four UF players are on the preseason All-SEC team, only two on the first team — defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. and cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III.

The Gators' have just one offensive player on the preseason team — senior tackle Chaz Green, who is on the third team.

Senior wide receiver Andre Debose is on the second team as a return specialist.

As expected Alabama is the media's pick to win the SEC title. The pick in the Eastern Division is South Carolina, with Georgia coming in second.

UF is one of the six schools that did not receive a single vote to win the SEC.

Alabama is an overwhelming pick to win the conference title. The Tide received 154 first-place points. Auburn garnered the second-most with 75.

At the end of his interview session at SEC Media Days on Thursday, Alabama coach Nick Saban playfully chided the media for its inability to pick a correct winner each year.

“I know you all pick a winner in the conference every year,” Saban said. “I know last year you'd actually been wrong, you know, like 17 out of 21 times. Now, you're wrong 18 out of 22. But you've also not picked the right team the last five years.

“Every year we've been fortunate enough to win the championship, you picked somebody else to win it. So, just to let you know that we're evaluating you.”

A list of the preseason All-Southeastern Conference teams and predicted finishes selected by media covering the league with total points out of 293 voters:
