No. 1 Todd Gurley

School: Georgia

Year: Junior

Position: Running back

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 232 pounds

Why he's No. 1: Gurley missed three games with a foot injury and missed running back Kendall Marshall most of the season to an injury. But he still put up strong numbers and appears poised for a huge junior season.

Let's face it — Georgia may have to outscore people this year and with Gurley, they have a guy who has the power and the speed to be the ultimate weapon.

Gurley was impressive as a freshman with 1,385 yards and 17 touchdowns. Even with the missed games last year, he managed 989 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns.

He is an effective back catching the ball as well. His 73-yard touchdown catch-and-run was a killer against the Gators last year.

He finished last season with 37 catches for 441 yards and six touchdowns.

For his career, Gurley has averaged 6.1 yards per carry. With a new quarterback, it will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs lean even more heavily on Gurley. We know he has shoulders broad enough to carry the load.
