No. 19 Maty Mauk
Weight: 200 pounds
Why he's No. 19: The plan was to have Mauk redshirt in 2012 and watch James Franklin while getting a handful of snaps in 2013. But an injury to the Missouri quarterback put Mauk in the spotlight and he responded.
Mauk made four starts and played well enough to be named to the SEC's All-Freshman team. He led the Tigers to a big win over Florida and played a big part in Missouri winning the SEC East.
For the season, Mauk threw for 1,071 yards and had an outstanding touchdown-to-interception ratio at 11-to-2. He showed the ability to run the ball with 229 yards and a score on the ground.
But that was just the tip of the iceberg. Mauk showed in the spring he's ready to take over the reins at Mizzou.
In three public scrimmages, he completed 64 percent of his passes and threw no interceptions. If he continues to improve on his accuracy (he completed only 51 percent last year), Mauk could find himself at the top of the heap in a league searching for quarterbacks.
