No. 21 Leonard Fournette
Position: Running back
Weight: 226 pounds
Why he's No. 21: We usually like to try to stay away from true freshmen in this list, but Fournette is difficult to ignore.
The guy is a freak, a combination of size, speed and power that has people comparing him to Adrian Peterson. But this is about more than a hotshot recruit getting hyped up before he ever plays a college down.
We all know that Les Miles likes to pound the ball. We all know that LSU seems to always have three running backs who can carry the load so nobody ever gets tired. And we know that LSU's quarterback situation is at best dicey.
Fournette is going to get his carries and it won't take long. Yes, these are high school stats but you can't ignore them — 7,619 yards and 88 touchdowns.
Here's another thing to consider — LSU returns four starters to its offensive line, a line that most considered to be the SEC's best last year.
Certainly, if Terrence Magee has a breakout year it will hamper Fournette's advancement, and the senior will get the first chance to be the guy. But who would you bet on?
