A Lake City woman was been arrested on charges relating to the stabbing of a man.
Brandy Nicole Decker, 37, was charged with domestic aggravated battery with a deadly weapon for an incident that happened Thursday night on Northeast Lake Drive, according to a press release from the Lake City Police Department.
At 9:27 p.m. police responded the area and learned that Decker and the man had been arguing in a vehicle when Decker is accused of stabbing the man in the right hand and wrist.
Police said the man screamed for help, ran into the street and collapsed.
Witnesses told police they saw Decker leave the vehicle bleeding from her left arm. She also collapsed in the road.
Decker was taken to a Lake City hospital with minor injuries. The man was taken to a Gainesville hospital by a helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries.
LCPD investigator David Greear questioned Decker and the man, determining that Decker was the primary aggressor. She was arrested and taken to the Columbia County Detention Center.
