The road stretches as far as the eye can see and, like a magnet, draws you toward the horizon. It climbs over hills and races back down like an eager child. It winds this way and that, as if it doesn’t know where it’s going, either. Then, just when it has lulled you into a quiet state of reflection, it forks and forces a decision.
