The Florida men's basketball team has officially added transfer Jon Horford, who graduated from Michigan and will be immediately eligible to compete in 2014-15.
Horford, the younger brother of former Gator standout Al Horford, is now enrolled in graduate school at UF for the Summer A term, which began Monday.
Horford provides the Gators with additional depth and experience after all three members of the starting frontcourt graduated following the season. He averaged 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 37 games with Michigan last season, including seven starts, helping the Wolverines to the Big Ten title. Horford scored six points and grabbed four rebounds off the bench vs. Florida when the teams met in the 2013 Elite Eight.
