Roundup: Haeger's slam helps UF

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Seventh-ranked Florida won its final series of the regular season Saturday with an 11-0 victory over Arkansas.

Gators junior Lauren Haeger pitched a complete-game shutout, her second of the season, on seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts. She also led UF at the plate on 2-for-5 hitting, four RBIs and one run.

After the Gators built a 7-0 lead on three home runs prior to the seventh inning, Haeger helped her own cause with a grand slam down the right-field line.

Florida (44-10, 14-9 SEC) concludes regular-season play Sunday at 1 p.m., with its series finale at Arkansas (27-27, 5-18 SEC) airing on ESPN.

Track and field: At Baton Rouge, La., a total of 18 personal and season-best marks highlighted competition for the UF track and field squads at the LSU Invitational on Saturday.

Bridgette Owens helped lead the No. 2 Florida women's team with a personal record to take the 110-meter hurdles title (12.88, +0.4), while fellow junior Fawn Miller had a big showing with a career best in the javelin throw to take top honors (55.33m/181-6).

On the top-ranked men's side, sophomores Arman Hall and Antwan Wright went two-three in the 200-meter dash with career-best marks of 20.40 (+1.7) and 20.81 (-1.2), respectively. In the 400 meter, junior Hugh Graham Jr. captured the event with a season-best mark of 45.45, and sophomore Najee Glass finished second behind his PR time of 45.55. Junior Stipe Zunic offered up a personal record in the shot put for Florida with a first-place throw of 19.45m/63-9.75.
