A High Springs man was arrested Thursday on allegations that he molested a child on four occasions, according to an arrest report.
Richard Andrew Barry, 33, of 21489 Railroad Ave., was charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a person under the age of 16.
Police began investigating Barry on Monday after a witness came to the police station to report seeing a sexual act involving Barry and a child while staying the night with the child early this year.
The witness reported waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and seeing Barry and the child in a sexual act in the bathroom.
Police reported that the child was interviewed and stated that several incidents occurred, starting around Christmas and ending about two weeks ago.
Police told The Sun the victim is 12 years old.
