HENDERSON, Nev. — Police in Nevada say a 50-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman are jailed as fugitives pending extradition to Florida, where they're accused of abducting the woman's 3-year-old son and heading to Las Vegas.
Henderson police say Karl R. Menz and Virginia M. Lynch were arrested Thursday after police and the FBI learned they were in southern Nevada in a moving van that had been reported stolen.
The child was found unharmed in the back of the vehicle.
Police say Menz and Lynch don't have custodial rights to the boy, who authorities say is autistic and unable to speak.
He was allegedly taken March 6 from a fast-food restaurant in Crestview, Fla.
Police say the boy was placed in temporary custody with Clark County Child Protective Services
