TAMPA — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent receiver Louis Murphy.

Murphy, who is from St. Petersburg, spent for the first three years of his career with the Oakland Raiders after being selected in the fourth round of the 2009 draft out of Florida. He was traded to Carolina in 2012 and played for the New York Giants last season.

In 71 career games, including 24 starts, Murphy has 121 receptions for 1,744 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s also rushed 14 times for 146 yards and one TD.

The Bucs announced the signing Wednesday.
