Choir goes full circle:

South Africa's Soweto Gospel Choir played its first North American concert at the Phillips Center in 2005. On Tuesday, the famed ensemble returns to kick off its fifth North American tour at the same venue that first welcomed the choir nine years ago.

MUSIC:

Guitarist Pat Metheny, who last performed at the Phillips Center on his solo “Orchestron” tour in 2010, returns Thursday to perform with his new ensemble, the Pat Metheny Unity Group, which includes multi-instrumentalist Giulio Carmassi, woodwind player Chris Potter, bassist Ben Williams and drummer Antonio Sanchez.
