Slow economic growth across the globe has caused fuel prices to move lower, according to AAA's weekly Fuel Price Brief.

"The good news is gas prices are stable and there is nothing, at this moment, that shows signs of a spike in price,” said Jessica Brady, AAA spokesperson with The Auto Club Group.

The national average for a gallon of gas, at $3.28 on Monday, was down a fraction of a cent from the previous Monday. The Florida average price was $3.33, down about 2 cents.

In Gainesville, the average price was $3.41, down almost 4 cents over the week, according to the crowd-sourcing website www.GasBuddy.com. In Ocala, the average price was $3.33, down about a 1 1/2 cents.
