Florida moved up three spots this week to No. 3 in the AP men's Top 25 basketball poll Monday.

The Gators (17-2, 6-0 SEC) take an 11-game winning streak into Thursday night's game at Mississippi State (13-6, 3-3). It's UF's longest winning streak in one season since winning the first 17 games of the 2005-06 campaign.

Florida coach Billy Donovan said he feels like his team, with four senior starters, has handled prosperity well during the winning streak. Florida's last loss was 65-64 at Connecticut on Dec. 2.

It's UF's highest ranking since being No. 2 going into the Arkansas game on Feb. 5 during the 2012-13 season.

“Our guys appear to be in a good place, but for me, it's all about our guys trying to get better and improve,” Donovan said.

In addition, Florida sophomore guard Michael Frazier II was named SEC player of the week after averaging 17.5 points per game in UF's wins over Alabama and Tennessee.
