Fla. Cabinet meets in Kissimmee

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Cabinet are meeting in Kissimmee for the cabinet's first meeting of 2014.

Florida's top state elected leaders on Wednesday will get an update on the state's economy and also be briefed on efforts to restore the Florida Everglades.

Scott plans to hand out several awards to business leaders and volunteers, and Florida Attorney General Pam will promote National Human Trafficking Awareness Month.

The other two members of the Florida Cabinet are Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater and Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
