Former Florida and NFL defensive end Jarvis Moss, back in classes at UF this semester working toward his degree, was arrested Monday for misdemeanor possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and felony tampering with evidence.
Moss was released on his own recognizance Wednesday.
Moss was stopped late Monday night for running a stop sign, but was arrested after the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and then found Moss chewing something that turned out to be “large pieces of cannabis” that he was trying to swallow.
Moss is one of five former Gator players who have returned to classes this spring. The others are Matt Elam, Josh Evans, Sharrif Floyd and Jelani Jenkins.
