Gainesville woman accused of Medicaid fraud

A Gainesville woman has been arrested on felony charges of Medicaid fraud and grand theft, the Florida Attorney General’s Office announced Tuesday.
Lekeisha A. Roberson, 32, is accused of defrauding the Medicaid program out of more than $12,000, according to a news release. She was referred to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit by the Florida Department of Children and Family Services.
Roberson was released on her own recognizance Tuesday after being arrested by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, according to court records. If convicted, she faces as much as 20 years in prison, fines and restitution.
