RINGLING’S ‘HEROES’:

For its first engagement at the O’Connell Center, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will stage some of the first performances of “Super Circus Heroes,” a new one-ring production featuring acrobats, aerialists and animals from elephants to camels. Performances begin Friday and continue through Sunday.

MUSIC:

Singer/songwriter Gretchen Peters, whose song “How You Learn to Live Alone” is featured on the season-two soundtrack for the TV show “Nashville,” will perform Friday at the Prairie Creek Lodge.

The renowned acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke will bring his acclaimed fingerpicking style on both six- and 12-string guitars to a performance Saturday at the Santa Fe College Fine Arts Hall.
