On the last day of 2013, Florida had a fitting end to a terrible year for the football program.

Under Armour All-American running back Dalvin Cook flipped to Florida State, announcing his decision on ESPNU.

“I love the school, and I think that's where I should go,” he said on the telecast.

Cook committed to UF at the Orange & Blue Debut but began wavering on his pledge in October. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder was named the Class 6A Player of the Year and led Miami Central to its second consecutive state championship on Dec. 14.

The Gators now have 18 members in their 2014 class with the loss of Cook. Verbal commitments are not binding until prospects sign their national letters of intent on Feb. 5.
