The SEC coaches and the members of media who cover the conference agree on Florida’s Vernon Hargreaves III. The true freshman cornerback is an All-SEC performer.

The day after The Associated Press named Hargreaves on its first team All-SEC team, the SEC coaches did the same on their All-SEC team that was released by the conference Tuesday.

Hargreaves is one of only two Gators on the team. The other is senior wide receiver Solomon Patton, who was named to the second team as a return specialist.

Alabama placed the most players on the coaches team — nine, including five on the first team. LSU had the second-most with eight.

Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

The coaches’ individual awards — coach of the year, freshman of the year and offensive and defensive players of the year — will be released today.
