DOT holds meeting Thursday in Lake City

A $3.2 billion work program of projects proposed by the Florida Department of Transportation for northeast Florida over the next five years will be discussed at two public meetings, one of which is Thursday in Lake City.
Thursday’s meeting will be an informal open house between 2-6 p.m. at the FDOT District Office located at 1109 South Marion Ave. in Lake City. The focus of this meeting are projects in the counties of Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor and Union.
Monday’s meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include a presentation on proposed projects in Clay, Putnam and other northeast Florida counties. This meeting is at the FDOT Training Center located at 2198 Edison Ave. in Jacksonville.
Information for all 18 counties served by FDOT District Two will be available at both meetings. FDOT staff will be available to discuss projects and answer questions.
