Alachua County residents can expect cool weather, cloudy skies and foggy mornings throughout much of the week.

Patchy fog is to be expected early Monday morning until about 9 a.m. Once cleared, however, skies should be partly sunny with highs near the low 70s, according to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville.

Though skies will remain clear for the most part, patchy fog can be expected to return this evening with lows in the mid-40s

The fog should clear by 9 a.m. Tuesday, but skies are expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day and into the night with highs in the mid-70s and a low of about 50 degrees.

Mostly sunny days with highs near the upper 70s and low 80s are expected Wednesday through Friday. Meanwhile, the evenings are expected to bring partly cloudy skies and lows ranging from the lower to upper 50s.

Saturday, too, is expected to bring partly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance of showers and highs in the upper 70s.
