A Gainesville woman was arrested Wednesday just before midnight after she allegedly slapped and bit her boyfriend.
Laura Ann Stungis, 48, began slapping the man while they were lying in bed Wednesday night, according to a report from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
The two have been in a relationship for about a year and have been living together for around seven months. The man said left the bedroom so he could sleep in another room but Stungis followed him and demanded he leave. He said he began gathering his belongings so he could leave but she pushed him onto a futon and bit him on his right forearm, drawing blood, according to the report.
The deputy who came to the residence stated in the report that it was clear Stungis was intoxicated when he spoke to her.
Stungis admitted to drinking multiple glasses of wine. She changed her story multiple times. She could not provide a clear timeline of what happened, the report said, although she admitted to biting the victim.
Stungis was arrested and charged with domestic battery, and was taken to the Alachua County jail.
