Florida sophomore swingman DeVon Walker is questionable for Friday’s game against Florida State with a mid-foot sprain.

Trainers diagnosed Walker with the foot sprain after he underwent X-Rays at the UF basketball facility on Tuesday.

“Right now, he’s day-to-day,” Florida coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday. “X-Rays came back negative. No break. It’s not even a sprained ankle, it’s a mid-foot sprain, kind of tweaked his ligament down on the bottom of his foot, the side of his foot. So he’s just doing treatment. He’s not going to practice (Wednesday), he may practice (Thursday).”

In six games, the 6-foot-6 Walker is averaging 4.0 and 1.5 rebounds this season with six assists and four steals. Walker suffered the injury early in UF’s 86-60 win Monday night at Jacksonville.

Donovan also said freshman point guard Kasey Hill is making “positive progress” in his return from a high ankle sprain. The timetable for Hill’s return remains mid-December.
