UF women's hoops to face Seminoles today

Who: Florida State (3-0) at Florida (3-1)

What: It’s the 70th meeting between the two programs. The game is the first half of a Gator basketball doubleheader, as the UF men's team plays host to Middle Tennessee beginning at 7:30 p.m.

When: Today, 5 p.m.

Series: Florida leads the all-time series, 41-28, however, Florida State has won seven of the last 10 meetings. … Last year's 98-67 decision was FSU's second-largest margin of victory in the series.

Quoting coach Amanda Butler: "We're excited about the opportunity to build on what we've seen through four games. We play a lot of games and these great tests early on in the season are really important for us. We're finding out more and more about ourselves."

UF players to watch: Seniors Jaterra Bonds and Lily Svete and junior Kayla Lewis are UF's top-three offensive leaders through the first four games.
