Final public forum for superintendent search is Tuesday

The third and final public forum on the Alachua County Public Schools’ search for a new superintendent starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Irby Elementary School, 13505 NW 140th St., Alachua.

School officials are seeking the community’s opinions on what to look for in a candidate for the position, which opened after former Superintendent Dan Boyd retired Sept. 30.

The forum is open to everyone.

Tuesday is also the last day to take the district’s survey on the core characteristics sought in a candidate for the superintendent’s position. The survey can be found at
