Florida picked up its first commitment in almost three months when Derby (Kan.) tight end DeAndre Goolsby announced his decision to attend UF on Friday.
The Rivals250 member, who is ranked No. 3 at his position by Rivals.com, chose the Gators over Arkansas, Kansas State, Ohio State and Oklahoma.
He attended Florida's summer camp in June and officially visited UF on Sept. 21 for the Tennessee game.
The Gators now have 15 members and two tight ends in their 2014 class, as Goolsby joins C'yontai Lewis of Alabaster (Ala.) Kingwood Christian.
Verbal commitments are not binding until prospects sign their national letters of intent Feb. 5.
