At times, Florida sophomore guard Dillon Graham admitted he found his first season of college basketball overwhelming.

Favorite Song: “Trust in me now” by Anthony Evans

“I was a little nervous coming in as a freshman last year, playing in the SEC, coming from a small private school in Orlando,” Graham said. “It was different for me, but now I'm used to it. I'm ready to go this year.”

Graham is looking forward to taking on an increased role for the Gators. With starting guards Kenny Boynton and Mike Rosario now playing overseas, there will be more chances for playing time.

“This offseason has been really good for me,” Graham said. “I've been in the gym a lot, trying to get extra shots up, trying to work on my ball handling and shooting, but mainly I've been in the weight room, trying to get a little bigger from last year. I gained about 20 pounds this year so I'm trying to build my body up for the season.”

In addition, Graham said he feels more confident and has a better feel for UF's system. Graham could see playing time early at point guard spelling Kasey Hill, due to senior point guard Scottie Wilbekin's indefinite suspension to start the season.

“We're going to need him to step up and be a guy that we can rely on and utilize,” Florida coach Billy Donovan said. “I believe he can do that.”

Donovan considers Graham one of the best passers on the roster.

“I'm really unselfish on the court,” Graham said. “I try to get my teammates involved as much as I can. If that's what Coach D says, I really appreciate that.”
