High Springs man dies in crash in Gilchrist County

A High Springs man was killed early Sunday morning when his truck went off a dirt road, hit a tree then overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
William Quinn Douglas, 42, was headed east on Northwest 117th Place at 1:55 a.m. when he lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, the FHP About two miles east of U.S. 129 the truck went off the north shoulder of the road and its left side struck a tree and then overturned.
Douglas was pronounced deceased on scene by Gilchrist
County Fire Rescue.
