Nominations sought for annual business ethics award

The Rotary Club of Gainesville is taking nominations for its fourth annual Ethics in Business Award program recognizing outstanding individuals and business or nonprofit organizations.

Nominations require a one-page summary describing the nominee’s qualifications and should address how the nominee adheres to high ethical standards, participates in activities that benefit the community, serves as a leader or innovator in his or her sector, and adheres to fair and truthful business practices.

Last year’s winners were Dr. Oscar DePaz and developer Luis Diaz in the individual category and Gainesville Health and Fitness Center in the business category.

Nominations are due Dec. 6 and can be emailed to or mailed to: Rotary Club Ethics in Business Award Committee, P.O. Box 357755, Gainesville, FL 32635-7755.
