Gator soccer wins at Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Florida took a big step Friday toward at least sharing the SEC regular-season soccer title with two matches to play by defeating Tennessee 3-0.

The Gators improved to 7-2 in the SEC and to 13-3-1 overall, while the Volunteers dropped to 2-5-2, 7-7-3.

Havana Solaun scored on a penalty kick with 44:21 left in the second half before scoring again when her corner kick went in the goal. It was her second double-goal match of the season and fourth of her career.

Freshman Savannah Jordan scored off an assist from Taylor Travis to push UF's lead to 3-0 at the 81:53 mark of the match. It was Jordan's 16th goal of the season.

The Gators return home for a 3 p.m. match Sunday against Texas A&M.
