First half: Putrid. Awful. Terrible. Does that cover it? Just when you thought the offense had reached a new low in Baton Rouge, it managed 61 yards and four first downs in Columbia.
Second half: The offense showed some signs of life with a 70-play drive that was mostly Kelvin Taylor, but fizzled the rest of the way.
For the game: Florida managed only 151 yards, an average of 2.5 yards per play.
First half: The Gators allowed 200 yards and the defense was already missing three starters when safety Cody Riggs was ejected 15 seconds into the game.
Second half: The Gators were particularly bad in the third quarter when they finally scored a touchdown, but couldn't hold momentum for long.
For the game: The absence of Dominique Easley showed up in the last two games as LSU and Missouri rushed for 380 yards against this once-dominant defense.
Special teams B
First half: Kickoff returns continued to go nowhere, but Marcus Roberson had a nice punt return. Johnny Townsend punted well in his first start.
Second half: Solomon Patton gave Florida exactly what it needed to start the second half.
For the game: Special teams did their job as Townsend averaged 45.6 a punt, and Missouri only 17.5 a kickoff return.
I know two Fs and a B don't average out to an F, but they do today. This was one of the worst performances in Will Muschamp's three years. Injuries certainly play a part, but the Gators were dominated on both lines of scrimmage.
