Free senior health fair set for Thursday

The third annual senior health fair takes place on Thursday morning at the Senior Recreation Center, showcasing 50 exhibitors who provide services to local seniors and their caregivers.

Vendors include health-care providers, fitness centers, transportation companies, drivers safety organizations, senior living facilities and several others.

There will also be free health screenings, including tests for depression, hearing, glucose and memory as well as ear wax checks.

Attendees also can get their flu and pneumonia shots if they have their insurance card with them.

The health fair is free and open to the public. It lasts from 9 a.m. until noon and takes places at the Senior Recreation Center, 5701 NW 34th St. in Gainesville.
