Workshop

Emanuel Baptist Church will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop and gospel concert.

The workshop will be held Oct. 12 from 8:45-11:45 a.m. and the concert will be at 6 p.m. at the church at 1203 NE 8th Ave.

The facilitator will be Dr. Lisa R.P. Spiguel, a physician with UF Health. The workshop will include: From 8:45-9:45 a.m., breakfast; 9:45-10:15 a.m., worship service and door prizes and 10:15-11:45 a.m., workshop led by Spiguel.

Appreciation

Miracle Word of Faith Ministries Inc. will host the 16th Pastor's Appreciation celebration for Dr. Pastor Queen Horne-Kelly and Dr. Apostle Donald Kelly.

The Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Association will continue its 139th Annual Session.

It will be held through Friday at the association at 8810 NE Waldo Road. Services will be:

Thursday: 9:30 a.m., praise and worship; noon, the Rev. Dr. James Sampson, president of the Florida General Baptist Convention; 2:30 p.m., Moderator's Hour, followed by a reception; 6 p.m., educational program.

Revival

TDC Ministries International Inc. will host another "2013 Fresh Fire Revival."

Dinner

Lazarus Restoration Ministries Inc. will host a Clergy Recognition Dinner to recognize pastors for their service and community outreach.

It will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church at 630 NW 2nd St. Tickets cost $20, and must be purchased by Oct. 11. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Lazarus is a faith-based, non-profit community outreach program for the homeless and indigent in Gainesville and Alachua County.
