Women's celebration

Compassionate Outreach Ministries will host its 2013 Women's Weekend Celebration.

It will consist of a banquet at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Hilton UF Conference Center at 1714 SW 34th St. and a worship service at 10 a.m. Sept. 29 at the church at 320 SE 43rd St. Banquet tickets are $30.

The speakers will be: Sept. 28, a highly anticipated surprise guest speaker, and Sept. 29, Dr. Joycelyn Barnett of West Palm Beach.

The Clara Reeves Ministry will host a Choirs on Parade concert.

The Greater Gainesville District Church of God in Christ will host its "Greater Love" Revival 2013.

Hope to the World Church will host a Pastor Appreciation service for its pastor, the Rev. Robinsky A. Reed and his wife, First Lady Sandra Reed.

Power conference

Launching Out in the Deep Outreach Ministries Inc. will present the Kept by the Power Conference.

Empowered to Live the Life You Choose Rebuilding Program will host its 20th Faith Communities Coming Together to Stop Intimate Partner Violence seminar.
