A Gainesville man was critically injured Tuesday afternoon when a car turned onto State Road 26 in front of his motorcycle, resulting in a collision, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
William Harley Lariscey, 27, was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital, FHP reported in a press release.
The accident happened about 12:34 p.m. on State Road 26 at Northwest 124th Boulevard, just west of Parker Road.
Paula Jo Wilkerson, 65, of Newberry, was driving a 2011 Hyundai Genesis on 124th Boulevard while Lariscey was driving a 2005 Suzuki west on SR 26, the report states.
Wilkerson was at the stop sign and pulled into the intersection to turn left, violating Lariscey’s right of way, according to the report. The left side of Wilkerson’s car hit the front end of the motorcycle.
Lariscey had incapacitating injuries while Wilkerson was not injured. Charged are pending the investigation, FHP reported.
